Our Story
We as humanity are on many levels all one. We all share the same planet. We all want to live our lives and raise our children. Just like all people, the people of Israel and the people of Gaza both want these things. Before October they both were largely doing this.
Then in October many people in Israel suddenly were killed and captured. There are still Israelis who are being held captured and many may already be dead.
Shortly after the attack on Israel many people in Gaza began to be killed. The killing continues. Simultaneously there are thousands and increasingly more people who are displaced. There are thousands and increasingly more who are injured, There are thousands and increasingly more who are malnourished. There are thousands and increasingly more who are sick. There are thousands and increasingly more who don’t have water, let alone clean water. It’s because of the fighting.
The fighting must stop. We must have peace.
Now.
The Jews coming from Israel and the Arabs from Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan and the rest of the Arab world are all Semitic people. The word peace in Hebrew, Shalom, and the word in Arabic Salaam, sound similar, look similar when written in the respective languages and are both from the same proto-semitic root word.
Israelis and Palestinians are, if not brothers, cousins. Both want peace, They say and write peace in an almost identical way. Show that you understand this by wearing a T-shirt that demonstrates this. And at the same time support an NGO that is working to address the suffering that is happening in the Holy Land.
T-Shirts for Peace began in the early 2000’s with this and other shirts. We are reviving it now to address the ongoing crisis. All shirt messages emphasize an equality or an inequality, Additionally each purchase supports a non-profit that is dedicated to relieving the immense suffering that is happening.
